The Originals Access, Hotel La Dousseine, Dreux Nord - Anet

In a residential area with plenty of easy parking. Nice people. Most people staying seemed to be traveling workers. Great as a cost effective, easy stop over. Cost balance is correct.

Room was not big and could use a little update but the bathroom was brand new and very functional.

Large grounds. We picniced outside our room in the sunshine. No food the night we stayed.

No food the two separate nights we stayed. Local eating places were closed, but we managed. See above, the second time we stayed we picniced with supplies fron a nearby supermarket.

Quiet, good car parking, room clean, good breakfast (purely French, but that is fine)

We chose that hotel because it had a restaurant. It turned out that short stay residents take second priority. The person at the desk was quite unapologetic in telling me that it was totally booked. He could think of only one restaurant in the town (driving distance) and that was closed. We had to drive elsewhere. So it was a very unsatisfactory stay for one overnight in the middle of a journey. The trouble with booking on Booked.net is that one doesn't get the chance to check that things like the restaurant are really going to be avaiable.

The bed was comfortable, the shower provided plenty of hot water and our breakfast exceeded our expectations

The owner and his wife were very helpful, and helped our party of eight to book a restaurant on a Saturday evening. Would stay there again.

More motel than hotel - no evening meals - room felt slightly damp - charged extra for breakfast
